ASLP Releases 2008 Student Loan Fact Book

WASHINGTON – America's Student Loan Providers today released the 2008 Student Loan Fact Book, Kevin Bruns, ASLP executive director, announced.

Drawing upon independent and government sources, the Fact Book presents key data regarding federal student loans, especially the Federal Family Education Loan Program, the largest single source of financial aid.

“The Fact Book provides a unique 10,000-foot view of the nation's largest student loan program—and the broader financial aid system in which it operates,” Bruns said.  “Its solid data has made it an important source for reporters and congressional staff.

“We welcome media inquiries about the Fact Book or any other issues relating to financial aid and student loans.”
