Statement of Condolences on the Death of Edward McCabe
WASHINGTON D.C., Oct. 20, 2008—America's Student Loan Providers released the following statement of condolences on the death of Edward McCabe:
“America’s Student Loan Providers offers its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Edward McCabe, who died earlier this month.
“Edward McCabe was a true friend of the student loan community and a leader in increasing access to postsecondary education. Thousands of Americans are indebted to him for his immeasurable contribution to improving and expanding the system of higher education financing. His life’s story, which included immigration from Ireland, service in World War II, and years of public service, are an inspiration to all of us.”
