Who is ASLP?
America's Student Loan Providers (ASLP) represents leading providers of higher education funding.  These companies and organizations provide federally guaranteed student loans through the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), a public-private partnership of schools, students, loan providers and the government that has financed the dreams of millions of Americans since 1965.  Learn more .

The Student Loan Program
The federal government has been involved in financing higher education since the enactment of the GI Bill during WW II. The Federal Family Education Loan Program
The Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) is the largest and most efficient way to provide federal student loans, as 83 percent of all colleges use this program exclusively for their student loans.  By leveraging private financial markets and competing for the right to lend to students, the FFELP brings value to students, schools, and taxpayers. Learn more about the value of the FFELP .

Loan Guarantee Agencies
