Student Loan Community Presents Student Loan Reform Proposal
On July, 7, a diverse coalition from all sectors of the student loan community - including, non-profit state agencies, stand-alone lenders and loan servicers, consumer banks and non-profit state-based guaranty agencies and secondary markets - announced a Student Loan Community Proposal that enhances President Obama's student loan reform plan to best serve students, families, schools and taxpayers. The Student Loan Community Proposal endorses all of the core principles of the Administration's reform effort while maintaining choice, competition and superior service for students and preserving 35,000 local jobs.
